Terms of Service

Read this before you act on a result

Every calculator on CalcVerdict is provided for informational and educational purposes only. No output from this site is financial, medical, engineering, tax, or legal advice, and none of it substitutes for a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.

What are these calculators intended for?

They provide educational estimates and explanations, not professional financial, medical, tax, legal, or engineering advice.

How should you verify an important result?

Check the assumptions and cited authority, then confirm any consequential decision with a qualified professional.

These terms are the agreement between you and CalcVerdict covering your use of this website and every tool, article, chart, and data table on it. By loading a page here you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

Informational and educational use only

CalcVerdict publishes calculators and explanatory articles. Their purpose is to help you understand how a calculation works and to give you a defensible starting number. That is the whole of what they are for. A result produced here is a model output based solely on the values you entered and the assumptions the tool documents — it is not a quote, an offer, an appraisal, a diagnosis, a valuation, a design specification, a tax filing position, or an opinion about your situation.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site constitutes professional advice of any kind, and using it creates no professional relationship between you and CalcVerdict or anyone who writes for it. In particular:

  • Financial, lending, and tax tools do not make us your financial adviser, mortgage broker, lender, accountant, or tax preparer. Speak to a licensed professional before borrowing, investing, or filing.
  • Health and fitness tools do not make us your physician, dietitian, or therapist, and no result here diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents anything. Never delay seeking medical care because of a number this site produced.
  • Engineering, construction, and scientific tools do not replace a licensed engineer, a signed and sealed calculation, or the governing code for your jurisdiction. Do not build, specify, or certify anything on the strength of a result from this site.
  • Anything touching law or regulation does not make us your lawyer, and a result here is not a legal opinion.

Accuracy, currency, and assumptions

We work hard to be right. Every formula on this site is tested against reference values drawn from a cited primary authority, and every article names its sources so you can check them yourself. That effort is real, but it is not a guarantee. Results may not reflect current interest rates, index levels, exchange rates, tax law, contribution limits, benefit formulas, building codes, clinical guidelines, or regulatory requirements, all of which change without notice and vary by jurisdiction.

Every calculator also embeds simplifying assumptions — rounding conventions, day-count rules, compounding frequency, population averages, or a fixed rate where reality varies. Where those assumptions matter, we state them on the page. Read them. A number computed under assumptions that do not match your situation is precisely wrong rather than roughly right.

No warranty

The site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that any calculation is free of error, that any content is complete or current, or that any defect will be corrected.

You assume the risk

Users assume all risk for relying on these tools without professional verification. You are responsible for checking any figure that matters before you act on it, for confirming it against an authoritative source or a qualified adviser, and for any decision you make or fail to make on the basis of anything published here. If a decision has money, health, safety, or legal consequences attached to it, verify the number independently first.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CalcVerdict, its operators, and its contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, nor for any lost profits, lost savings, lost data, missed deadlines, business interruption, or personal injury, arising out of or connected with your use of, or inability to use, this site — even if we have been advised that such damages are possible. This applies whether the claim is framed in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that is so, the exclusions and limitations above apply only to the extent the law allows, and nothing here limits liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Errors and omissions

Despite our best efforts to be accurate, CalcVerdict is not responsible for inaccuracies, errors, or omissions in any calculator, article, table, or citation. If you find one, tell us through the contact page. We would rather fix a formula than defend it, and corrections are published without argument.

Availability

Access to the site is offered without any service level commitment. We may change, move, suspend, or withdraw any calculator, article, or feature at any time, with or without notice, and the site may be unavailable for maintenance, deployment, provider outages, or reasons entirely outside our control. Do not build a process that depends on this site being reachable at a particular moment.

Acceptable use

You may use CalcVerdict freely for personal, educational, and commercial purposes, including sharing result links. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, probe it for vulnerabilities, scrape it at a volume that degrades it for others, misrepresent our content as your own, or use it in any way that breaks the law.

Intellectual property

The articles, explanations, code, and design of this site are original work and remain the property of their authors. Data drawn from public authorities remains subject to the terms of the source that published it, which each article names. Short quotations with attribution and a link back are welcome; wholesale republication is not.

Third-party links and advertising

Our citations lead to sites we do not control, and the site may carry third-party advertising. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, products, or practices of any external site or advertiser, and a link is not an endorsement. Our privacy policy explains how advertising cookies work here.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The date at the top of the page records the current version, and continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept it.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and nothing here removes any mandatory consumer protection you enjoy where you live. Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page; if you want to know who builds these tools and why, read about CalcVerdict.
